Enjoy Florida the way it used to be - unspoiled beaches, abundant wildlife, and beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The Turtle Beach Inn, a Gulf front bed and breakfast with cottages, is located on the panhandle of Florida on Indian Pass Beach. Being located between the towns of Port St. Joe and Apalachicola allows our guests to experience the charm and beauty of the "Forgotten Coast." Our unique bed and breakfast is nestled between cabbage palms and long-needled pines on a white sandy beach. The often deserted beach on the Gulf of Mexico provides relaxation and solitude, and is a sea turtle nesting area - hence our name, the Turtle Beach Inn.
Relaxing and enjoying the peace and solitude of the area seem to be the favorite pastimes for many guests, but other activities are available. The area waters (Gulf of Mexico, Apalachicola Bay, St Joseph Bay, lagoons, bayous, lakes, creeks and rivers) provide the setting for all types of aquatic adventures such as canoeing, kayaking, boating, fishing, swimming, snorkeling, and scuba diving.
The beaches of Indian Pass and St. Vincent Island, a federal wildlife preserve which is a short paddle or boat ride from the inn, are sea turtle nesting areas. Land lovers can enjoy hiking, biking, shelling, horseback riding, and golf. Excellent shopping and dining are also available in the nearby towns of Port St. Joe and Apalachicola.
The family owned and operated Turtle Beach Inn & Cottages was established in 1997, and is celebrating its 23rd year of welcoming guests to Indian Pass. Any season of the year is a great time to enjoy our coastal town and the quiet pace of beach life.
